Lesly Williams is an experienced professional with Laffey Real Estate in Westbury, New York, after spending several years with the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development. His transition to real estate is a natural progression of his extensive career in the public sector. Lesly’s leadership and organizational expertise were honed during his tenure as the Director of Urban Renewal and Property Management Services, where he successfully managed urban renewal projects and the relocation of residents and businesses in New York City.
Beyond his professional achievements, Lesly is a passionate sports enthusiast, particularly in soccer. He played the sport throughout his childhood and college years in the U.S., and his love for the game motivated him to establish the Haiti Soccer Project, Inc., a nonprofit organization aimed at using soccer as a tool for youth development in Haiti. The initiative fosters health, tolerance, leadership, teamwork, and unity, making a significant impact on the lives of children involved.
Lesly’s community involvement extends to his home in East Meadow, where he has lived for over 30 years. His work as a referee in the Long Island Junior Soccer League has allowed him to positively influence local youth, while his connection to various organizations that use sports as a developmental tool reflects his ongoing commitment to the well-being of others.
